A downloadable game for Windows

| DISCORD | YOUTUBE |

A recreation of the classic Minecraft horror map, Grief.

Made in RPG Maker XP, an engine made almost 20 years ago, it has its limitations... but this game is focused on reviving an experience I considered to be lost to time. This version attempts to copy almost exactly how the events played out in the original by watching countless playthroughs and even playing the map myself! It contains most of the original audio / visuals as well as gameplay (mostly). If you have never played the original, I highly recommend you do so before or after playing this. Enjoy!

[PLAYTIME: 15-20 MINUTES]

Please report any bugs or required changes in the comment section as it would really help me as a dev and the game itself to become better! :D

Install instructions

-- INSTALLATION --

!! BEFORE INSTALLING THE GAME YOU MUST INSTALL THE RPG MAKER RTP FIRST FOR THE GAME TO FUNCTION !!

-- STEPS --

1: Click and install the "xp_rtp104e.exe" file (Required)

2: Once finished, you should see a folder with the same name, click on it and then launch the "Game.exe" file

3: Finished! You are now ready to play the RPG Maker remake of the classic minecraft horror map.

-- SOURCE CODE --

All code has been written and by me (FrickFrack) inside RPG Maker XP, but the audio files contained aren't mine. They have been taken directly from the Grief Horror Map Resource Pack for the purpose of staying as authentic and close to the original experience as possible. You may take a look inside the game or source code (if you have RPG Maker XP) if you are interested, but if I find copies of the same game on distribution websites, I will ask you to please take them down as you aren't the original creator.

Really interesting seeing a Minecraft mod remade in the RPGMaker engine. My only real complaint is that objectives like the keys are more difficult to find in the 2D change, but overall you kept the vibe of the mod intact.
